THE ENERGY CENTRE produces electric power by biomass incineration. The biomass may be oilseed-cakes from the pressing shop or pellets from other kinds of biomass. The pellets are received clean, without any admixtures.
The biomass incineration does not lead to an increase of CO2 in the atmosphere because the quantity of CO2 that is released from biofuels by incineration into the atmosphere is equivalent to the quantity of CO2 that is absorbed by plants every year through the process of photosynthesis and stored in the form of biomass. By biomass incineration in our special boiler, there is not the problem of polluting the environment with combustion products from other sources.
The boiler releases ash and cinders. As it is a biologically and chemically clean material, the ash is certified as a fertilizer and the cinders are used as an additive to reclamation materials.
In this way all products with which we work in the BIOENERGO – KOMPLEX, s.r.o. company are used absolutely. The company’s effort is a zero-waste technology and it respects the principle of ecological behaviour with the watchword: WE’VE GOT JUST ONE PLANET.
TECHNOLOGY
The basic production equipment in the ENERGY CENTRE is a steam boiler 25 t/hod; 4,5 MPa; 460°C and a steam condensing turbine with the capacity of 6 MW. The pellets of biomass are used as a fuel. By its incineration in the steam boiler the generator of electric power is propelled by the turbine. The produced electric power is supplied to the distribution network of “ČEZ Distribuce” except for the company’s consumption. The mains feed and the following mains supply is of 22 kV voltage level.
The technical improvement of the boiler is unique. It is a steep-tube one-drum steam boiler that is specially designed for the stated biofuel. During the year 2016 an extensive restoration of the boiler was carried out based on the evaluation of the previous operation. During the restoration the incineration chamber of the boiler was adjusted, steam fans were added to it to clean the boiler during operation and to reduce the temperature of combustion products. The result is an increased efficiency and reliability.
As a result of technical changes that were carried out in the boiler, the efficiency of the boiler reaches up to 91.43%.
The annual consumption of biofuel is about 40,000 tons of biomass. The company receives pellets of 8 mm in diameter and with the specific weight of about 500 kg/t for incineration.
EMISSION
The Company meets emission limits after the measures that were taken in 2016 and it shall meet them in the future as well.
